A 2 way is interesting, surprised we didn't keep him in that case.

Damn. He's a player I wanted to be resigned. Played excellent as a 4th line centre role.

Maybe he feels he is more likely to crack the NHL lineup in Buffalo? To me it does not look like there is much of a difference in terms of how many players would be above him and how many he would be competing with

Another one bites the dust. Man we are dropping players like nobody's business.

Tim Murray was with the Sens when they drafted Grant.

I think Hathaway made him expendable.
However, losing Shore, Jooris and Grant who are all solid role players for either the big club or the farm, hurt a bit.
Klimchuk and Poirier better step it up this year. It's their spots to lose now.

Big body, can skate real fast, might've had a legit depth/reserve spot here. Too bad.

Plenty of top 6 spots open on the farm.
Jankowski, klimchuk, poirier, mangiapane, polluck, etc, here's your shot.

A 26 year old with 40 games in the NHL with no goals. Would have been fine for the AHL, but very unlikely he becomes a regular NHLer.

We sure love our 4th line fringe players.
I did think he would have been good in an energy role. It's possible that he wanted to move on though since we do have a lot of depth in that area.

That's now 3 of the Heat's top-5 point leaders from last season who have signed elsewhere (Grant, Agostino, and Elson), with Shore likely joining them soon.
Jankowski could be the Heat's #1 Centre to start the season.

Another one gone; a solid house cleaning by Treliving. Its definitely an old guard to the new guard transition, I think.

Yeah, i was really hoping he'd stay in the organization to improve the calibre of skill players on the farm team.
I'm not really liking Burke and/or Treliving's moves this UFA season
