In the most non shocking twist of the CPHL offseason the Pittsburgh Penguins have traded prospect Matthew Tkachuk to the Anaheim Ducks.
The deal breaks down as follows:
To Ducks:
Matthew Tkachuk
Lawson Crouse
To Pens:
Ivan Provorov
Alex Nylander
From a Pens perspective we view Provorov as the best defensive prospect in the world and he is a good bet to crack the Flyers lineup and make an immediate impact. Nylander has a lot more offensive upside than Crouse who is a lot safer prospect and will likely be an NHLer a lot sooner than Nylander. However I feel that Nylander has a huge upside and will fit in nicely with all the young talent in Buffalo.
