Sean Monahan workout
A look inside @Monahan20's off-season training program.
Sean has gained weight(good weight) and he looks good, Giordano is huge.

I would love to see Johnny's workout.

He is so awkward it's almost painful. I'm glad he is targeting his speed and explosion, though. Definitely a weakness in his game.

Sean Monotone.
Cool to get an insight into his training regimen, though.

Looks bigger for sure. I'd say somewhere between 212 - 215

You don't get that vibe? His social skills leave something to be desired. That monotoned voice doesn't help either lol.

I've met him out at bar's and such a couple times and hes a pretty normal dude. his voice does him no favors (monotone). However, the kid is surprisingly funny and witty and well spoken. Just a dry personality around cameras.
Having a camera in front of you doesnt ever tell the real tale. JR was a media darling for being brash but honestly Sean is much more approachable and friendly.

Funny, I know a few ladies who have run into him and they mentioned he's really hard to talk to.

Dunno...I didn't detect awkwardness at all. He is simply a mild mannered guy when it comes to speaking. Very motivated for sure and really turning into a very strong and confident man.
Reminds me of a young Messier.

Targeting his weaknesses and trying to fix them. This is why he will become a very well rounded centre. Speaking of young centres, any Bennett sightings ? Would like to know if he has put on any muscle.

Fortunately for Sean he doesnt need to be a big wooer...he does his talking on the ice and his off ice stuff will work out just fine. Woo is needed when you dont have much else.

I disagree - it's a personality trait. There's a difference between attempting to woo some random and being able to carry a conversation. Either way, I'm glad he's focusing on speed and having better first few steps. Him adding an explosive element to his game will do wonders for his performance.

I've always been good at judging weight. I'd bet money he's somewhere in that range in that video.

Quite so. He's obviously five ounces over 211. Maybe six.

Glad to see that Calgaryflames.com is branching out a bit. I like seeing the behind the scenes stuff more and more.
The same NHL style media interview is a bit boring. "We got to start off strong tonight, play a simple game, finish our checks cause they are a great team" etc
Looks good though. The kid is putting in some time in the gym and its going to pay off on the ice!
