Exclamation [Video] Dougie Hamilton 15/16 Highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mg1ipwZNXLg

Slow start, then a fantastic second half. Set a new career high for goals and points in a season. I think he is going to turn into a stud for us very quickly. He has the offensive game, is getting better and better defensively, and also has a physical edge to his game that Brodie doesn't really have. Dougie JUST turned 23 a couple days ago too.

Gio was 2nd behind Hamilton last poll, so I'll do his video next. Then look into OT wins maybe, or else Backlun/Frolik/Colborne.

Videos Completed This Off-Season:
Bennett
Brodie
Gaudreau Part 1
Gaudreau Part 2
Hamilton
Monahan

Ooou, I'm excited to see this one. His adjustment and progress over the second half of the season was very exciting to watch.

Highest potential of any player on our team. Could be a #1 and a captain if it all works out. Overall skillset his ceiling is elite. Good shot, good passer, good stick handling, good in the corners, big, tough, high IQ. He's got very few weaknesses.

Like most of the team, he had a rough first two months but after that time he really put it together.

It's laughable how spiteful Oiler and Canuck fans continued talking about him late in the season through now like the first two months was how he played all year. They seem desperate to insinuate he's over-rated, and he isn't.

Still a steal and huge coup for this team moving forward to have added a smooth skating right handed-shot 22 year old stud d-man without giving up prospects or roster players.

Still laughing at the insanity of this forum in October last year.

Hopefully people will be more patient with young players going forward.

Absolutely.

And for hilarity, compare the Dougie, Reinhart, and Gudbranson trades:
  • Dougie Hamilton traded for #15, #45, and #52.
  • Griffin Reinhart traded for #16 and #33.
  • Erik Gudbranson and 5th rounder traded for McCann, #33, and #94.

Speaking about that, this came into mind.

^ The best part about that video has always been how the interviewer looks like that stooge Gene Principe.

Might be the best shot on the team. Just bullets all day.

Maybe you are implying green text here, but if not I don't think that's a fair statement because better players should be making bottom feeders look worse. Also I don't think the you can overlook how many times we played so called bottom feeders due to the number of games we play against some of them as well (division/conference).

Great video. Dougie can definitely be physical when he wants to.

If I could suggest another video, it would be a Kylington/Andersson highlight vid, but I don't know how easy it would be to find highlights from the AHL and OHL.

Can't wait to see if Hamilton keeps adding to the physical play... Would be huge.
