I think 70% we use is. 10% move up. 10% move down. 10% trade.

I don't see how we have the assets and cap space to trade up.

Toy with our emotions until the draft...that's what they'll do with it.

I've said all along they will end up staying at 6. Sure there's been a little more trade chatter than previous drafts in regards to trading top 10 picks but I don't see more than one trade in the first round and I'm not convinced it will be either the Jackets or Flames involved.

I went with what I hope happens and that is trade up. Seems to be a lot more smoke with the number 3 pick than typical years (when trading high picks is discussed). Flames make a perfect trade partner for the jackets as well

I'd love the excitement of moving up and eberything that comes with it, but I'm not going to get my hoppes up. Its just more realistic that they stay at 6.

They try to move up. If it doesn't happen, they look at the offers for moving down. If not enough value, they pick 6th.

I think it's a 15% chance to go up to 3, 35% chance to stay at 6 and 50% chance they trade down.
I think the only way they stick at 6 is if the players we think will go 1-5 do not actually go 1-5.

I think they're moving up.
Normally my answer would be standing pat, but actively involved in many possibilities. But this time there seems to be too much that makes sense.
Jackets are stuck NMCs
Jackets are stuck with dollars and need to sign Jones
Jackets seem to be down on Puljujarvi
Flames need a big time RW
Flames have additional 2nd round assets
Flames have room to take on a NMC forward
Flames need a goaltender, and the Jackets have an expensive one
Flames have a draft pick in the range that Brown is a good bet
If it doesn't happen I won't be surprised, but there's a lot leading to the suggestion that Calgary/Columbus make sense.

I agree - combo option 2 and 4, trading up AND getting established player AND starting goalie

They will make the pick. I know BT is busting his ass off trying to make a deal that works for the team. But I think they stand pat. Monahan turned out quite well at 6 and I remember the panic at the time in all of us in wanting to trade up somehow. It turned out pretty well.
I think the #6 pick in this draft will pan out quite good as well.

I am normally very cautious about big things happening and would have said they stay pat at 6th but for the reason mentioned here, I think the Flames trade up to 3rd, if the Blue Jackets don't trade with the Flames, then I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart, that Jones gets offer sheeted.

I do not see them moving up at all. The only way it would happen is if the Jackets firmly believe that there isn't much of a difference between Puljujarvi and the player they would get at 6. Personally, I don't think they believe that. Hence they will stay where they are and the Flames will stay where they are.

I think every option other than trade the pick outright are realistic.
Bingo has made a solid case for moving up and I totally agree with that reasoning.
I think there's a decent chance they don't move up and if they don't I think there's a chance they stay at #6 and one of Tkachuk/Dubois fall to us.
I think there's a decent chance they stay at #6 but neither Tkachuk/Dubois fall and they get a decent offer to move back 2-3 spots and are comfortable doing so while still landing one of Juolevi, Sergachev, Chychrun, Nylander, Brown or Jost.
