I"m at work but I'm recording it. I know it isn't much of a surprise but this week, everything is about hockey and I love it. There's something almost every night this week!

1. Matthews - 8/10 scouts have him #1. Franchise center
2. Laine - best goal scoring shooter coming out of the draft since Ovechkin, there are teams out there that believe Laine will be best player to come out of the draft
3. Puljuljarvi - no lower than #3 of the 10 scouts he surveyed. speed among the fastest in draft. can make a difference physically and has the speed and skill
4. Tkachuk - plays similar to his Dad. from the circle to the goal line no one does it better than Tkachuk.
5. Dubois - little bit bigger and little bit faster than Tkachuk... some think he is as good or better than Tkachuk. tremendous skating ability.
6. Juolevi - best all around defenceman
7. Nylander - elite level offensive skill almost 2nd to none
8. Keller - Patrick Kane like. elite level skill and smarts
9. Sergachev - elite level skating. bomb from the point. calm composed game
10. Brown - there is bad logan brown and good logan brown. 2nd half of the season turned into offensive force

This morning on 1260 in Edmonton he mentioned two distinct ledges. The top 3 are consensus. Than he has another ledge with Tkachuck, Juolevi, Dubois, and Nylander. After that 8-15....than open from 15 to 40.

I prefer Sergachev (9) over Juolevi at six, but not by much.
Would also be happy with Nylander in that spot.
Darn good players, all of them!

Chychrun as the 4th best d-man - if he starts to fall into the 20 range I really hope the Flames trade up.

Jost/Bean have the greatest chance to break into top 10
11. Jost - some scouts compare him to Jonathan Toews. leadership and plays complete game
12. Bean - best offensive d-man in the draft
13. Chychrun
14. McAvory
15. McLeod
16. Fabrro - reads and reacts well with and without puck. real smart d-man
17. Gauthier
18. Bellows - pure shooter. as good as it gets in terms of NHL shot and release
19. Jones
20. Kunin

Julien Gauther is the one guy I really wanted the Stars 1st for. Might not have made it to that pick, but could go in that range.

I want to move down from 6th to, I dunno, 8th, pick up another 2nd, and then wheel and deal 35 / 38 for 21 or something, a guy like Bellows or Gauthier is too damn perfect for team needs.

21. Tufte
22. Stanley - wild card
23. Rubtsov
24. Howden
25. Cholowski
26. Hajek
27. Thomson
28. Johansen
29. Katchouk
30. Clague
Chychrun - 7/10 scouts had him ranked outside of top 10. has all the tools but skates himself into trouble
Gustavsson, or Tyler Parssons will be first goaltender. Once the 2nd round starts goaltenders will start to go
Day was exceptional as a 15 year old for the OHL - Day is not exceptional in this draft - down to 230 lbs at combine (was 248!) - 2nd or 3rd round pick

I've seen Gauthier slip into the 2nd round on a couple of mock drafts.
If he slips to 35 there's no doubt he'd be a steal.

I originally was keen on Brown, but have since found myself hoping for Keller.
So much skill.
