Default Could Wideman for Yakupov happen?

Easy as pie. Read the poll options. Could Wideman, who has 1 year left at 5.25, be traded for Yakupov, who has 2 years left at 2.25, under any circumstances? Would you do it?

Where's the "no way the oilers do that trade" option?

You changed it!

Of course trade him for Yakupov. Of course it won't happen.

This is a more difficult choice than the Flames 6OA for Eberle proposal because the Flames save a little in the short term on Wideman's cap hit, but add another season of a relatively useless player.

I still think not.

There's the 'Only if the Flames add' option, if that helps.

Why from both sides. If i am an Oiler fan I don't want Wideman and his contract.
As a Flames fan I don't want Yakupov either. Either way it is one problem replaced with another.

Let's also make a separate poll for every trade suggestion on Wideman.

Actually let's first make a poll on whether or not that's a good idea.

Get on it Scorpion, got lots of work to do.

why are there so many stupid Flames/Oilers proposals with polls? Isn't posting this crap in the trade thread enough?

I'd do it.

Yakupov isn't great and is a defensive liability but is young enough to start playing the game the right way.

But as moronic as the Oil management is, they probably wouldn't. Maybe if Wideman were a couple years younger.

LOL what are you doing. The poll doesn't even have a "no" option. Which is the obvious answer. Embarrassing.

Man you guys are whiny this time of year. Honestly, move along or put something useful into this thread.

I can't see the oilers being excited to let go of Yakapov for as little as Wideman as it would signal a giant failure on their part. IF the Flames retained salary perhaps it gets a look but then we'd be stuck with Yakapov and Widemans $$. Not going to happen,

I guess anything can happen???

As for not liking polls or having too many polls or if people are over reacting to polls, maybe we should have a poll to about people over reacting to the polls then a poll on if there are too many polls and another on if you like polls and then start a poll to decided if a poll should be allowed to be made.

telling him it's stupid is about as useful as it gets considering the source material
