Default John Brophy dead at 83
Just read that John Brophy died today. One of the great characters in hockey and minor league legend. Evidently the only coach with more pro wins is Scotty Bowman.

A legend of the game for sure.

Read/heard somewhere once that he either played and/or coached in over 3000 professional games.

That's a commitment to the game like very few have ever had.

Close, I think it was 5 or 6 days before, early Christmas present from Ballard.

Video says he's from Halifax but I'm certain he was from Antigonish, N.S.

My aunt said she grew up with him since diaper age.
