Default STH Info Sessions (May 24, May 25, June 15)

Just wanted to start the thread for the info sessions that are up and coming. The sessions start today with one at noon. The other two are scheduled for May 25th @ 6pm and June 15th @ 6pm.

I thought a consolidated thread for the events for info and maybe questions to be asked. Treliving is only scheduled to attend the session on the 15th.

Going to the one today at noon. I'll post anything relevant if I have time afterwards!

I'm in for the 15th session and can provide a summary. Interested in reading what others heard from the other two.

To clarify for those curious:
May 24th: Brian Burke and John Bean (COO)
May 25th: Brian Burke and John Bean
June 15th: Brad Treliving and John Bean

I RSVP'd for the June 15th and haven't heard back yet either. IIRC they usually send the email a week before the session. At least I hope that is the case.

The invite had a space for questions this time, so I'm hoping they will screen through these and the days of open mic night are over.

They handed Burke a sheet and he seemed surprised.

The invite has always had a place to submit a question.

I can't see them tipping their hands at this point, likely smokescreen as much as anything, or consensus.

Indicated Treliving meeting with amateur scouts so maybe you're right

Although by mentioning Juolevi they make the likes of Buffalo and Arizona nervous that they won't get the Dman they want without moving up.

But did they say that? Who?

A few quick points from Burke during the session:
- Believes that Tkachuk, Dubois and Joelevi are the second ledge of 4-6
- Was relieved they didn't fall out of the top six as they are confident in the top 6
- Saw Nylander recently and believes he will be better than his older brother
- Likes the big kid Brown, but he doesn't play a black and blue type of hockey
- Thinks that Brown and Nylander will be in the gap for the Flames and therefore not relevant
- Deflected a question about the other ledges in the draft and instead praised Treliving's ability to package draft picks (as he did for Hamilton)
- Thinks that Kyllington is a phenomenal skater and will play in the NHL in the not-too-distant future
- Ironed out some attitude and preparation issues with Andersson this year and he also believes that he will play in the NHL in the not-too-distant future
- Figures 4-5 Flames will participate in the WHC.
