Default Central Division Final - Stars vs Blues (Series tied 3-3)

Go Stars Go!

vs

Blues: 49-24-9, 107 points (second in the Central Division and second in the western conference)
Stars: 50-23-9, 109 points (first in the Central Division and second in the western conference)

Regular-season series: Blues 4-1-0 (Stars 1-1-3)

The Stars record is more indicative of how they played against each other. Both teams won in their home rink by the same score of 3-0. The remaining three games were settled twice in overtime and once in the shootout with the Blues victorious each time.

The Blues and Stars have played each other a dozen times in the postseason (three times since the Stars have been based in Dallas).
The Blues have won seven of those series.

I do honestly think the Stars have a better chance of beating the Blues rather than the Hawks, but man, its hard to see them knocking off this Blues team right now.

Will be rooting for the Stars though, should be a great series.

Going for the Blues in 6.

If the Stars win, great!

If the Blues win, it'll be nice to see them make a push. Their fans seem pretty terrific and have been patient for years.

I thought the Stars had a better shot against the Hawks but if Seguin is playing they still can beat the Blues. Need that 1st rounder

I'd love to see the Stars win, but give our luck, I think this is the year the Blues finally go to the Conference Finals. I think Dallas would have matched up much better with Chicago to be honest. Blues in 6.

The Blues struggle when trying to finish a series. The Stars are a much better team than the Hawks and should be able to dispose of the Blues in 6 games.

These division acronyms are so ugly in the thread title. Better than when Oilfan spelled the whole thing out, but we get it, we know what division they in.

Does anyone have a time frame on when Seguin is supposed to be back?

Dallas is a very good team, but so were the Hawks. Going to be another great series. Obviously, the difference between a Flames draft pick in the 26-30 range instead of one in the 56-60 range is huge, so I've got to cheer on Dallas in this one.

Go Stars!

That said, Elliott and Backes would look good in Flames silks next season.

Should be an outstanding series. Probably the best of the second round.

Default CDF- (1)Stars vs (2)Blues

The only way I see Dallas winning this series is if they can secure there goaltending issues. That's going to make or break them this series IMO.

Cheering for DAL, but I don't mind if the Blue win too.

tonight win is like '86 for the Flames; they had to get by their division rival, but also their own mental block. I believe the Blues can go on a long run now
