My dad introduced me to 60 minutes as a kid, and I've been a fan since.

RIP.

I will never understand the mindset of TV personalities who think they have to work forever. Literally in this case.

I have a feeling he absolutely loved what he was doing, and probably didn't consider it work.

Yep. Retirement bored my father to tears, he got another job and is much happier. I'm better Safer was able to pretty much pick and choose his projects and his hours.

I know I am never going to retire, it would be too boring.

I'm only on the freedom 85 plan due to bad investments and a divorce. I couldn't imagine being bored as I have so many things I want to do during the day and never have time for.

Well there is always Calgarypuck. I think half of you spend half your time here already. I know the net has helped me stay interested during my retirement.

So sad to see the old 60 minutes guys go, for such a long time that show was the top investigative group run by the best news producer in history.

I never missed 60 mins in the 90s, such an incredible group of people and an end of an era with the crap news we get today.
