Nice for Gallant to get a nod, but this belongs to Trotz. No question in my mind.

Besides, it seems to be the kiss of death for coaches to win it, so I'd rather Gallant not win it anyway.

I'm guessing Trotz has this in the bag. Gallant did wonders with FLA this year though. And Ruff geting the Stars to be the #1 seed in the West is not something to overlook either. But I pick Trotz.

Personally, I expected the Caps to do well this season and had Dallas as a bubble team, so I went with Ruff.

Boudreau should have been nominated, won and then fired

Was hoping Boudreau got in do to the crazy turn around mid season.

I thought the Caps and Stars were going to be good teams all along. The Panthers are good but had a lot of young guys with question marks and I think Gallant got the most out of what he had on paper.

Trotz is long overdue for this award...he should have gotten it for some of those Nashville seasons, where he got results from very limited talent.
