I'm actually starting to dread the lottery. Back when we were around 3rd, you'd see some really nice results every few clicks of the simulator. No guarantees, but it made you dream a little. Now virtually every simulation is just a new kind of awful.
At this stage, I'd be satisfied to see Edmonton pick outside the Top 3. I just can't stand seeing that greedy pig of a team slobbering at the trough again.

Only 1 rival getting a top 3 pick, and it being the 3rd... Calgary only moves down one... The top 2 head out east to teams I have no animosity for...
Given the high odds of something much more catastrophic happening, that's at least a 5 for me.

Picked 4, would have been 5 but you know, Edmonton...

I hope Bingo is not secretly Bettman, 'cause his lottery skills are not super encouraging...

5. Same as yesterday. Tkachuk alongside Bennett would be cool and I would be happy for Columbus I suppose. Oilers with the 3rd is a downer though.

Anything with Edmonton top 3 is an auto-1 for me.

Hey, put it this way - now that Bingo is churning out all of these 'bad' results, all of them will be used up by the time the real lottery comes around!
Keep it up, the law of averages will save us!

I have a feeling the lotto balls will bounce in the Flames favor come the 30th but these daily polls by Bingo show that we shouldn't get our hopes up

Would 10/10 be 1) Calgary, 2) Phoenix 3) Carolina?
As a fan of sunbelt teams, I think it would be great to grow the game. If you're a Canadian relocation patriot it puts a young talent on the 2 teams most likely to go to Que?
Win/Win?

We've already established Bettman has terrible lottery skills.

A 10/10 for me would be Calgary / Arizona / Columbus. We flip Matthews to Arizona for 2nd overall and a great prospect.

10/10 for me is Calgary in the top 3, and two non-Toronto Eastern Conference teams in the other two spots. I don't want Arizona to get another top prospect, they are in our division after all, and that boots Edmonton/Vancouver to 5 and 6.

Yeah, I agree. It's fun to dream, but the reality is TOR, EDM and VAN will all end up with killer picks.
EDM pisses me off the most though, obviously. Year after year, trotting up to the podium to "proudly" select in the top 3. ####en puke worthy. It really is a damn shame there is no relegation in North American sports. Those clowns would have been relegated out of the AHL by now.
I suppose that if the Flames young core was able to bring a Cup back to Calgary, it would make the Cup that much sweeter knowing EDM had all these high ass picks, yet the Flames still won the prize.
I'll definitely be boozing on April 30th to soften the blow of the inevitable disappointment.

That would be my ideal result. Get the top player, maybe Phoenix drastically over pays to get their guy and we end up with Laine. Edmonton, Van and Toronto lose out of the big 3. And reward a non-tanking team with the 3rd (that's out east).

To me, the best draft would be:
1) Coyotes Trade up from 3rd (Strome + 3rd OA) and draft Matthews
2) Flames Draft Laine
3) Hurricanes or Devils trade down from 1st (subtracting Strome from the Coyotes' prospect pool) and draft Puljuarvi
4) Leafs draft Tkachuk
5) Oilers draft.. I dunno... Jake Bean ( )
6) Canucks draft Nylander
7) Blue Jackets draft Dubois
...
28) Flames draft German Rubtsov or Clayton Keller

I would prefer the Flames be the team that trades the pick for Strome+Puljujarvi ia Arizona is going that hard after Matthews.
If the Coyotes are not selling the farm on Matthews the ideal for me is the Flames pick 1 or 2 with Columbus and Carolina/New Jersey landing the other pick

Best result for me:
Flames win 1st
Yotes win 2nd
Jackets win 3rd
Pushes TOR, EDM and VAN out of top 3.
Flames trade 1st OA to Arizona for 2nd OA + Christian Fischer + 37th OA (6'2 210lb RH RW // 2nd rounder from 2015 // 90 points in 66 games this season with Spitfires)
Flames end up with:
Patrick Laine
Christian Fischer
35th OA
37th OA
Plus hopefully Dallas 1st rounder too.
