Default Saskatchewan Provincial Election Results

For those that are interested, it was a pummeling and ugly.

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2016/04...n_9607670.html

looks like the Sask Party won 50 seats, the NDP 11 seats and the other parties were shut out.

Good on Saskatchewan for electing a premier that will fight for our interests. Shame we need to rely on Saskatchewan do to it.

NDP leader lost their seat in this vote too. The best part was another NDP MLA refusing to accept that her boss lost, despite the evidence, when asked about it. Like, how deep did her fantasy world go?

I don't know what it is about Brad Wall, but he scares me.

I admit he is better then Kevin O'Leary however.

It is such a cliche to say that a political figure you don't like "scares you." Can't stand it.

meh, I am entitled to my own opinion (justified or not). If that bugs someone, that is even better.

What is it about him that scares you? What policies has he implemented that are scary?

It is different to be angry, irritated, or in disagreement with a political figure based on quantifiable, and concrete moral differences.

It is entirely another to make a populist-fueled appeal to fear-based sentimentality because you don't like the candidate elected.

When a poster says that Notley wants to kill the oil and gas industry in alberta, does that qualify as the former or the latter?

I dont get it. If she opposes all of those things what is her stance on things like 'Electricity' or 'Heat' or 'Transportation?'

Good on saskatchewan. A role model for our province. Saskatchewan has experience with the ndp from the past. They know better.

It was pretty much expected Brad would dominate, nobody wants the pro union party back in power here in Sask. We are just finally getting private liquor stores after all!

I hope he can deliver now, he had a lot of success during the 'boom' of Saskatchewan that over shadowed early short comings. Now that things have basically come to a halt with potash and oil and gas in the crapper it will be interesting to see how far forward he can take the province still. I like the Sask Party but I have not always been the biggest fan of Wall, he has talked this whole campaign about how strong our economy is still but many who live here will tell you he was just propping it up. Lots of people are laid off, if things were as good as he said they were we wouldn't have got the same EI benefit extensions that Alberta got. Time will tell.

They will have a budget within 2 months, who'd have thought that was possible?

Oh wait, there's no federal Sask party that they needed to protect by delaying things.
