I bet he does. I would hope he gets some of that tonight. The games will really tighten up for the next stretch. Plus, there are games left against Vancouver and Edmonton. Reasonable games for him to 'pad his stats' a bit. Aside from those 'easy' games, I just don't think that all the teams vying for playoff positioning will be able to completely shut out Monahan anyways.

I think it is doable for both goals and points, considering the streak he has been on.

Go Monahan Go. It's almost funny how underrated he's become in the midst of Johnny Mania. For some reason Panthers fans hate him.

One of the best starts to a young Center's career in this league in the last 10 years, and we continually see fans limit Monahan's potential as a 2nd line Center. It's crazy.

1st line, 2nd line, it doesn't really matter. If Monohan is your team's 2nd line center it's a very good situation. I.E. Bennett has forced himself into that 1st line role and in no way is that a slight to Monohan.

For me, the turning point of the season came after Feb 11th, when we went 1-9-1. We had a 25-25-3 record up until that point, so were still in the hunt for the play offs. He had 17 goals in those first 53 games. Over the course of the season, thats 26 goals. That's more than fine for any player.

I mean, you can't honestly be upset with his goalscoring up until our form took a nosedive can you? Unless you feel he should be scoring a 0.5 goals per game pace? I have no problem with him potting a lot of goals when we had nothing to play for. He more than did his bit during the games when we still had something to play for, so he gets a pass for turning it on during these last 18-19 games.

I will give Monahan and Gaudreau full credit for their stats this season. They've barely had a semblance of a right winger this season.

26 pts in his last 24 games. And yeah, it's hilarious watching the Panther's fans hate on him. Barkov might be having the better season this year, but it was clearly Sean the previous two. But they don't seem to care. Give Barkov the bottom feeder team and I doubt you see him get the love he's getting now.

Either way, it's fantastic that we have a future #1C partaking in the ''best player of his draft'' conversation.
