Disclaimer: I am largely a computer dunce..... now that we have that out of the way, on to my problem....

In the last two weeks or so, my home PC is giving me grief with Calgary Puck. I'm not having any issues with any other website.

Basically what happens is that I can get to a specific forum no problem but, when I click on a specific thread, I get the very slowly growing blue status bar that indicates that it is trying to load the page. This goes on for up to a minute, at which point I get a white "Gateway error, server unreachable" screen. If I hit refresh, I continue to get this screen. about 1/15 times if I go back a screen and try again, I'll get in however, this is very infrequent.

Any ideas?????

Like I said, this is my home PC so, I'll try and and all suggestions over the weekend. Thanks in advance!

We will need a bit more info. Who is your ISP? What operating system do you have? What browser do you use?

I had a problem similar to that with Shaw. It turned out to be the old large style Motorola router. I've got the slim one now, without any problems.

It could also be Internet Explorer getting hung up on the pop-up ads, especially if you are running SP2...

Edit: Yes, this should be in the CP Help thread.

It's an issue with Shaw's proxy servers I think.

I was having the same issues. The quick resolve is view CP through Firefox. It's an IE issue with Shaw. Everything works perfectly through Firefox.

Thanks for all the replies and apologies for not putting the thread in the pinned thread. My ISP is Shaw and I am running Explorer so, I suspect the affliction is the same one discussed in the link photon supplied.

Thanks!

I had this prob a few weeks ago and figured I'd get firefox again. Stupid shaw/IE. Firefox works fine, esspecially when you're in CP withdrawl.
