A bandwagon fan's guide to 16 SC playoff teams
This gave me a good chuckle, worth a read.
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/b...playoff-teams/
Quote:
#16. Chicago Blackhawks
Why you should get on board: Because you're also the sort of person who plays video games on the easy level, cheers for the Harlem Globetrotters, and wears a John Cena shirt to work.
Why you shouldn't: Come on. We can debate the ethics of bandwagon hopping in general, but if you're going to make the leap then you can't do it with the closest thing the NHL has seen to a dynasty in decades. When it comes to getting it done on the ice, behind the bench and in the front office, no organization has been better than the Blackhawks, and they have three Cups and counting to show for it. Admire their success, sure. Appreciate the skill on display, of course. Be jealous, absolutely. But if you jump on their bandwagon now, you're a terrible person.

The Ducks one forgot to mention you would also be cheering for Ryan Kesler along with Corey Perry.

Haha I've been on the Capitals playoff bandwagon for as long as I can remember. Every year they choke but this year feels different. They were just so much better than everyone else.

The Caps just need to avoid being up 3-1 in a playoff series.

Put me on the Panthers bandwagon. I like the makeup of their team. Awesome young players and great veterans including Jagr, the ageless wonder. Plus I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for Hudler.

Haha that was a good read.
I'll be on the Stars bandwagon for Flames reasons, but they're also a fun team to watch. Like I said in a different thread, come on folks, it's the biggest, shiniest bandwagon in town, hop on.
And as always, would love the the Blues to make some noise and upset the Hawks in round one, but not holding my breath. Preds are a team I love but as long as they have Riberio and Neal, meh

I've been on the Islanders bandwagon several times, and it has always been a disappointing ride. I guess I'm a sucker for punishment.

The East has a lot of teams that I want to succeed this year.
Panthers, Islanders, Rangers and Capitals would all be cool to see win the cup and at least two of those will be going on to the second round....

I've been on the Ducks Bandwagon for years now. My second favorite team behind Calgary. And then LA would be the next favorite. And how can you not cheer for Anaheim after having such a bad start to the year and then turning it completely around.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Rooting for the Stars. At least until the Western Conference Final. Then they're on their own. As for the Capitals, that 3-1 collapse is still coming. But they're saving it for the Stanley Cup Final.

And his buddy Bieska.
I'd like to see Luongo get his Cup now that he's not in Vancouver, and how can you not cheer for Jagr? It would also be nice to see Hudler get another Cup.
The only downside of cheering for the Panthers is that it makes the Flames' pick a little worse, but the absolute best it can be is 53rd, and the worst is 60th. At that point in the draft, there's a good chance the same kid will be available at either spot.
Also, GO STARS, for the first two rounds, at least.

Go Predators since I can't stomach the Schmucks and Dallas for the upgraded pick the Flames would get. Other than that it really doesn't matter to me who wins.

The Panthers one was pretty funny overall, but this part made me chuckle:

Did you enjoy The Usual Suspects or House of Cards? Kevin Spacey! No, seriously, they have Kevin Spacey. No, nobody understands why, just go with it.

I should specify my post, I am not a Kesler or a Bieksa fan necessarily, just a Ducks fan. I really like Getzlaf

Count me on the Preds' bandwagon, it'll be a huge upset this year.
Oh, and I hate the Ducks, all of their players, coach and fans
