I'm wagering nobody really cares, but Panthers up 4-2 over Ottawa after 2 periods. Huberdeau, Trocheck, and Jokinen all with 2 points a piece. Jagr broke a tooth due to an Erik Karlsson high stick with no call. Same team that Jagr lost 4 teeth earlier this season and no call on that play either. Legends can't catch a break apparently.

Does Trochek make Team NA23? Has got almost as many points as Monahan. Florida could have three guys on that team. They've already named five centres though, and he's not that big.

He's also super streaky, for whatever that's worth.

I suppose you could say that, but outside of one cold streak in early January, he's not gone more than 3-4 games without putting up a point.

As for the World Cup, I kinda doubt it because it's only his first full NHL season and isn't as proven. However, he plays all zones fairly well, and when he's on he can be an absolute game breaker. He's a natural center, but he can play wing as well. He's forced Bjugstad down to the 3rd line, which is saying something. I figured him for a 3rd line forward who can score now and then, but he's proved to be better than that.

...aaaaannndd Jagr scores his 2nd of the night. Beautiful shot. I hope he plays forever.

One thing I've learned from the OOT games is that the Flames comparably don't stick up for each other. I'm not sure it would have any effect on the scoreboard/standings, but i would like to see more of that from them.

Hmm, I think the word I was looking for is "comparatively."

LOL, speaking of streaky...

Trocheck scores a goal to score his 4th point of the night.

Ottawa's defense is worse than a 1980's era team.

LOL, and right on cue, Denis Potvin on the Panthers broadcast is talking about how Trocheck should be on the NA23 team, saying he's earned it at this point.

I don't see Trocheck making the team.

9 forwards named already: Couturier, Eichel, Gaudreau, Larkin, MacKinnon, McDavid, Miller, Monahan, and Saad.

I'd put Trocheck near the end of the following list for remaining forward options: Huberdeau, Galchenyuk, Scheifele, Domi, Nugent-Hopkins, Lazar, Jenner, Reinhart, Duclair, and Strome.

Hopefully precautionary, but he looked to be in a fair bit of pain at some points.

It is scoreless in the Devils-Sharks game after one period. Kinkaid and Jones are the goalies.

Smith Pelley scores early in the second period to make it 1-0 Devils after forty minutes. Zajac scores 97 seconds into the third period, 2-0 Devils. Kinkaid is the reason the Devils are winning as the Sharks out shot the Devils 16-3 in the second period!

You wagered incorrectly, somebody really cares. The Panthers get a big 6-2 win over the Senators. The Panthers get out of their mini slump as they win for the first time in four games. The win keeps them in the tight three way race for second place in the eastern conference. Jagr with two goals, simply amazing. It is a big loss for the Senators as they remain six points back of the Penguins for the final playoff spot and the Penguins have three games in hand.

Zajac with two goals as he scored the empty net goal and the Devils win 3-0.
