Go BJs! They're up 1-0 on DET in the 2nd
Go WPG as well, about to face off against NSH, I don't hold much hope there.
BUF is a lost cause down 0-3 to NYR

Tavares scores, 1-0 Islanders. Letang, from Crosby, ties the game up 1-1 after twenty minutes.

Zack Smith scores SH for the Sens. Incredibly, that is his 19th of the year. What a year for him. Has blown away career high for goals and now points.

Jets give up 2 goals in the last minute of first period, 2 goals in 11 seconds. Jeez.

It's been surprising to me how bad the jets have been this year... They looked so good last year down the stretch and had all the makings of becoming one of the powerhouses in the west... Played a big, strong, heavy game with good possession numbers.

I haven't seen a ton of them but from what I've seen their goaltending does them in a lot of the time, Enstrom is becoming less effective but still leaned on heavily and only just now is Scheiffele blossoming into a #1 centre. Losing Ladd hurts but they have some good young prospects. They need to fast forward Hellebuyck's progression just like we need to fast forward Gillies'. Pavelec is one of the worst starting goalies in the league and Hutchinson isn't the answer either I don't think. If they can solve their goaltending they can turn it around. Doesn't help being in the tough central though, no easy division games with them being the worst team in the division. I like BUF and CGY's young nucleus better than WPG's pre-2016 draft.

Linesman blows an icing call late in the NYR-BUF game and NYR ends up scoring an empty netter after, NYR 4-2 ends up winning it.
CBJ was up 4-1 over DET but they've made it interesting, 4-3 late in the 3rd

It is still scoreless in the Bruins-Lightning game with eight minutes left in regulation time. The Lightning have 42 shots on Gustavsson to 24 Bruins shots on Bishop.

The score was the same after two periods. Midway through the third period, Brock Nelson has scored on the power play, 2-1 Islanders. It is a good game to watch and it could be a first round playoff series.

The Jets are short on high end offensive talent. They're a team with a collection of good players—more good, young players than most NHL teams—but they don't have any real game-breaking players, and that will continue to hurt them tremendously.

Scheiffele is a tremendous young centre. Big, fast, skilled. I really like his upside, he can be a game breaker at times. Ehlers is that classic average sized or slightly undersized super high skill player that lots of fans love (see Alex Nylander this year.) He will be a game breaker at times most likely. Armia may amount to something. Trouba is nice. Their real wildcard is Kyle Connor. That kid is absolutely dominating college as a freshman. Hard to cap his upside at this point. They also have former top 10 picks Wheeler, Little and Burmistrov.
One more game breaker this year and I think they look pretty good up front, but not necessarily right away. I guess they could pick a d-man instead. Like us they still need to improve goaltending in the short term. Maybe Hellebuyck is ready to start next year?

Interesting night for Eastern Conference playoff implications as the two wildcard teams DET and PIT both lose. Flyers fans everywhere are high fiving, they are very much in the mix. CAR's OT win keeps their faint playoff hopes alive as well, they are 4 back.

Islanders win, but at a cost. Halak had to leave the game and looked to be in some discomfort.
I like how NBCSN uses the colours the team is wearing in the game on the scorebar, instead of the teams's main colour like most networks do. They had Pittsburgh in white and the islanders in black.
