WEll, its nice that they are being sensitive (understandably so), but...does this go a bit "over the top" if you will?

It's nice of them to pull the song, but do they have to make a big deal out of it? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of not playing the song.

I mean is it really that different for them to play the song than it is to say "Hey, we're not gonna play `New Olreans is Sinking`, cause you know...New Orleans is sinking".

Just don't play the song, and leave it at that.

That's a real shame. I never got tired of hearing that song at least 3 times a day on CJ & 107.

Great band, but that's got to be one of the most overplayed song on the radio (among others). Perhaps they can replace it with some Hip songs they don't play as much.

What a joke, the Big Easy should get off their duff and take personal responsibility for their own actions.

Banning a song, what a joke.

just to clarify, New Orleans didn't ban it. Two Ontario radio stations voluntarily did.

Didn't a ton of radio stations pull "Its Raining Men" after 9/11. Stupid really. Its just a damn song, play it already.

I wonder if "When the Levee Breaks" by Led Zep is next?

I agree BBS. Stop playing the song but leave the drama for your mama.

Are they still allowed to play "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by the Scorpions?

There was plenty of pressure on the band "Anthrax" to change their name during the hysteria.

Pretty lame that was. So is this. Not that they pulled the song but that they felt they had to issue a statement saying so, as if the hordes would be calling in for a reason.

What do they think, there are some people out there who will perk up and notice on Sunday night that he didn't hear this damn song 2 or 3 times this week?

How exactly is anyone in New Orleans personally responsible for the devastation that occured there this week?

There is not one person alive who is responsible for the city being founded on a location below sea level.

There was tons of backlash on stuff after 9/11 and no one complained then? but now people are insulted because of some band (a crappy one IMO) is having a song pulled that is extrememly coincedental with a current tradgedy?
