These are the preliminary rosters. I believe they need to commit to 14 skaters and 2 goalies by March 2nd.

They only need to announce 16 players for the initial roster.

Still two more d-men and 5 more forwards will need to be named.

That is a stacked back-end though.

Is there a chance Backlund makes the team?

Erik Karlsson is on the team? Wow, what a joke. That guy's a bum.

John Klingberg is 2nd in defenceman scoring and doesn't make the top 6.

Wouldn't he go to the under 23 team?

U23 team is only North America.

And there's more to naming a team than just picking the guys with the most points. They have plenty of offense from back there without Klingberg.

Is this the end of an era for Sweden? How many more A-level int'l tournaments do the Sedins, Zetterburg, and Lundqvist have left in them?

Thought Fredrick Anderssen was Swedish but looks like he's Danish. Guess it was Markstrom over Lack, Lehner and Gustavsson.

Nice G, top 4 D and top 6 F. Bottom of the roster obviously not as strong, but still should be the 2nd best team IMO.

Probably not many. Would imagine their relatively young defence will keep them from being too bad, but their forward roster is lacking quality once those vet guys retire.

I'd put the Americans just ahead of the Swedes
