Absolutely! Gotta think he's had a huge impact on his two young line mates. All the best in FLA!

Jiri Hudler was the perfect bridge between the Iginla and Monahan/Gaudreau eras. He was a great mentor for our young guys, he was incredibly funny, and he had no shoes. Thank you so much for all you did for our team.

We will definitely miss Jiri Hudler. He is consummate gentleman, good teammate, leader and a hard worker. Monahan and Gaudreau will definitely miss him the most as he was a good big brother to them. Good luck in Florida Huds!!

Agreed....not only what he provided on the ice but what he did for the younger guys off it. His dollar amount was never out of line either.
Will be pulling for him to do well with Florida and where ever else he may end up.....really good player.

Will never forget the fact that he scored the empty netter against the Kings to clinch our playoff spot, and the empty netter against the Canucks to clinch our first series win since 2004. One of my favorite Flames of the last few years, thanks for everything Jiri!

I was really annoyed when we signed Hudler. Not sure why but I disliked him from his time in Detroit. That we signed him for 4 years was brutal....and at $4 million per season? I hated it.
And even through the 1st half of his 1st season, I still didn't like him. As I watched him play though, I found it harder & harder to dislike him. He played hard, lead and made others around him better (except Cervenka....no one on the team could help him). Hudler proved that not only was he worth every penny of his contract, it was actually a bargain.
So here we are, almost 4 years later and I'll actually miss Hudler on the Flames. Hope he has good success in Florida for the rest of the season and enjoys the playoffs.

Heck of a player, showed Monny, Johnny and Bennett what it means to play in the NHL and was a major contributor in easing their transition to the NHL style. He provided the kind of veteran leadership to our rebuild that the Oilers were without completely, can you imagine how rough the rebuild could have gone for our young guys had there not been that veteran forward presence of Hudler? We could have been Oilers-lite. Thankfully we have Gio too for leadership, which the train wreck up north could only dream about.

Would have loved to keep him but unfortunately that's the business side of things.
Hudler, despite is horrible start to the season, was an excellent Flame.
