Seriously wtf Quebec?

I get that it is assault on the street but its a game where you can hack and trip opponents with a potentially dangerous weapon as well as rough up and fight and not be arrested but this is worth arresting?

Your question should not be 'Seriously wtf Quebec'?

Wtf would posess that player to do such a thing?

Spitting at another person - especially in or at their face is vile, disgusting and cowardly. All the other transgressions you listed are rightly or wrongly part of the game and have been as long as it has been around. That element of the game is also rightly or wrongly self-policed.

What that player did was disgusting and is and never has been part of the game and I hope that as well as this arrest, the League makes an example of this guy.

I had to break up a fight between teammates when I first moved to Calgary, one of them spit in the other's face. I think even a punch is less offensive than that.

There's no "two minute for spitting" penalty. #### that. Anyone who spits at anyone else is a complete dirtbag and deserves to be treated as such. I support this type of response and I hope the league does something as well.
