Default Millennials ‘too lazy to eat cereal’, report suggests

http://www.cbc.ca/news/trending/mill...ests-1.3463234

"40% of young adults say cereal is too much work, giving millennial-haters new fodder for digital ridicule”

Honestly, what kind of person studies the cereal-eating habits of one demographic? Also, the fact that ‘millennial-haters’ are a thing...

"A even-more-recent study has found that, being aware of their innate ability to do so, Millennials will say anything to raise the blood pressure of Baby Boomers."

This just in: the older generation thinks the younger generation is lazy, since forever.

That's a bad interpretation of lazy but I would say busy. Cereal needs to be consumed at home and I don't have time to eat here. I either don't eat at all or grab a yogurt and a banana and eat it in the car or at work. If I could conveniently get cereal with. Milk to my office I'd do it but it's not convenient to thermos up and then have to hand wash it like a savage.

Too lazy to read it, maybe I'll download the audio file when it comes out.... nah I think I learned enough from the title of this thread. Crisis averted

I don't eat cereal because it takes too long to consume. I can scarf down a muffin or something else way faster.

No washing required. Of course, you will probably end up with milk everywhere. Or maybe I was just really bad at camp breakfasts.

Where do you get the milk?

i guess the question would be why don't you have time to eat at home?
Is life much busier now or are people lazier or both?

I'm the same, I eat cereal at work though. Work supplies the milk. I also bring in a carton sometimes.

I'm a Millennial, and I eat a bowl of cereal practically every night. I just put down a bowl of raisan bran like 5 minutes ago.

I think the answer is because we want to sleep a little longer.

So "lazier", in other words.

Like someone said, this is "Tumblr" level of journalism, but still, apparently there are some living breathing people who think making a bowl of cereal is a chore.

I have to wonder though, if those people are starving to death. What could be easier than cereal? If it takes more than a five minutes to prepare, eat, and "clean up" a bowl of cereal, you are doing something wrong.

If that's too much for a person to do, what isn't?

I infuriate my wife by eating a Jethro sized bowl of cereal every night. I go through a 500g bag of cereal in like, 3 days tops. In fact I am in the midst of polishing off a bag of knock off Golden Grahams.

Pfft, clearly you are not a millennial.

Do it one handed while continually texting with the other, and rolling your eyes every 3rd text. 27 mins minimum.

Work supplied milk is a great deal. My office has pop and juice, but no milk.

Other than the little coffee creamer sized milks. And I am too lazy to make a bowl of cereal with 200 of those.
