3-0 Canes over the Jets about 5 minutes into the game. Ouch.

Make that 4-0, still in the 1st. Ugly one so far for the Jets.

Hornqvist scored, 1-0 Penguins in the first period then Stralman and Killorn have scored for the Lightning to make it 2-1 Tampa Bay after one period. Palat and Crosby have scored for their respective teams in the second period, 3-2 Tampa leads.

Paul Maurice is one of those coaches that has a short shelf life. There is no reason the Jets should be this bad.

Tyler Johnson with a beauty on the PP against the Pens. Awesome wrist shot.

I really think the Jets players are waiting for Kevin Cheveldayoff to do something, anything to provide some direction regarding where the team is heading. It's never a good situation for the players when the future of your captain is in limbo. Are they going to swing a trade for Hamonic? Will they re-sign Byfuglien? Lots of questions that need answering with the Jets at the moment.

I don't believe that should affect a team as this scenario plays for several teams every season with free agency. You don't see the Lightning the toilet because Stamkos their captain may leave in the offseason. The players are getting paid to do one thing and that's play hockey not worry about next season's roster. It's obviously a coaching issue as right now the team isn't playing for Maurice.

Ehlers is fun to watch, but Viktor Rask is better.

They are also running with two young goalies right now and you can only do that for so long until the chickens come home to roost.

They've been bad since they were the Thrashers. Why should they be good?

Tobias Rieder scores with Shane Doan getting the assist just 94 seconds into the game.

ugh. Jerts gonna Jerts. At this point I can deal with these losses if we get Matthews and sort out our LHD next year. And depth.

The Ducks are officially back. They win tonight and they're a .500 team. Perry, Kesler, Getzlaf, Lindholm all look sharp.

The Coyotes kept up with them as it was 2-2 after two periods. The Ducks took over in the third period scoring three unanswered goals and win 5-2.

Guess the Jets could've used Halischuk!
