Russell-Hamilton, Engelland-Smid
the other pairings with Wideman also not here.
Gaudreau and Giordano still working their way back from Nashville.
Wideman missing with his pending hearing tomorrow.

Think about how much better this team would be if Baertschi actually panned out to the level expected of him after his draft +1 season.

The Flames deserve a break after Sven, and a bunch of other mediocre picks.
Anyway, this rebuild includes Bennett, Monahan, Brodie and Hamilton. They aren't chopped liver. And Gillies, Kylington, Andersson, Jankowski in the system. The Flames have a pretty decently rated prospect pool.

Gaudreau I agree but add Brodie to that list. Another 4th rounder who is a star player and huge piece of this team

Is someone going to get called up if Wideman is suspended, or will they run with the 6 guys they have?
Even if someone does get called up (hopefully Nakladal), he'll probably be the 7th guy the entire time.

If Ferland is activated, Flames are at the roster limit with Wideman getting suspended.
I would think, Flames won't recall a dman.

I'm excited to see our D without Wideman. Having both Engelland and Smid in the lineup gives the team more size and toughness. I'm hoping Russell steps it up, and Dougie gets a good chance on the power play.
