Default Another Camera Purchase Thread

I didn't feel like resurrecting the old thread(s).

I sold my a6000 in December and have been thinking of buying another higher end camera. So far, I narrowed it down to Nikon D750 or D610 or a6300 based on what I think matters to me.

My criteria are:
  1. Low light performance
  2. Body price under $2000
  3. Lens availability
  4. Weather sealed
  5. Picture quality (duh!)

Does anyone have any experience with the Nikon cameras I mentioned above? I am leaning toward them for lense availability and being full frame. I am far from a professional photographer, but like to treat myself to nice things every few years.

Also, any experiences buying from 42photo.com? So far, I found their prices to be the lowest.

I think, if you go this way, your camera will have a US warranty (at least if you choose the Nikon). I'm in school for photography and my instructors generally shoot Nikon, saying they're better sealed than Canons. Having said that, you see a lot of white glass at big sporting events. D750 vs. 610: the biggest difference is the autofocus system, if autofocus in low light is important to you then the 750 shines.

A lot of people are switching to mirrorless, but I haven't had enough experience with EVFs to endorse them.

Depends a whole lot on what type of photography you'll be using the camera for. When you say low light, are you talking astrophotography, or wanting ability to capture motion in low light? Lens availability... focusing towards a certain focal length? (Wide/zoom?)

Did you rule out the 6D?
