This city is just getting bizarre in terms of gun crimes.

I think we had nearly 80 gun crimes last year.

And yet comparatively, any American city with similar population would be ecstatic with 80 gun crimes a year, and law enforcement agencies the country over would be pouring into that city to see what they were doing right for such amazing results.

hmmm you're right -this is totally the thread for this. A post like that totally won't cause this thread to turn into a gun rights debate and remove all discussion regarding the actual event......

Why note quote his post, move on over to the link below and then respond?

I find it hard to believe he has a scanner that picks up CPS. The encryption CPS uses can't be picked up by normal scanners, and the systems that can pick it up up are north of $100k. Based on that I imagine he's lying.

Sorry, wasn't meant to be inflammatory, just kind of a gut reaction to how safe our country is even when things are bad by our standards. Jesus.

Threat in Huntington Hills is over, residents no longer need to shelter in basements. Invest ongoing, still limited access in the area.

From CPS

As long as Judges keep handing out minor sentences for illegal gun possession it's only going to get worst.

You can get a scanner for ~ $500 and with the right keys, have access to CPS channels.

No one was shot on the bus FWIW.

A regular old digital scanner is not north of $100k and to my limited knowledge I believe only a few channels are encrypted.
