It's halfway through the season and I thought I'd make a thread of who we should keep for next year, who we should possibly go after in the market and who steps up from the farm. Here are RFA/UFA players in the organization that will need a new contract next year.
In my mind it would be a great step if management can sign a winger from the free agent market that is capable of playing a top 6 role. (i.e, Kyle Okposo, Mikkel Boedker, Jaden Schwartz, etc.)
Compliment that with a Top 10 pick in the 2016 Draft and a much needed second like looks to be established. (Notable choices that fit with the Flames demands, Jesse Puljujärvi, Patrik Laine)
A goalie situation will also need to be taken care of.
