I've been talking to Hesla about Spooner for a while now. I knew I'd have to give up a lot. I think it's close to fair value although I may have overpaid a little giving up Sanheim and one of my 1sts but I see Spooner as part of my young core for many years hopefully.

Fehr has been a good player for Buffalo but in the interests of getting younger and adding potential growth on the blueline, I targeted Dumoulin. He is locked up for 3 years on a nice contract to boot.

Overall it's a decent deal...you get two solid guys who are guaranteed NHL'ers and both young to boot.

You had to give up a pick and a solid prospect but I think overall the deal is pretty even.

Overall pretty close but trading 1sts a year from now is always risky business in this sim and for that reason I would give the edge to Hesla.

I like the deal for Buffalo, spooner is having a great year and they get a good young Dman as well. Still a good return for the Cap too though. Solid deal.
