Default December 27 with nine games!

It is a busy Sunday OOT on this long holiday weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas.

1600h

at on and on in french

This is an earlier start time due to the doubleheader on Sportsnet. It is good to see the Leafs being forced with a different time and it rammed down their throats to accommodate the battle of Alberta game in prime time.

This is the first part of a home-away series between these conference rivals, the next game is on Tuesday in Toronto.

It is 2-0 Leafs after two periods. Bozak and Grabner both scored early in the second period. The Leafs are outshooting the Islanders 28-14. Greiss and Bernier are the goalies.

Patrick Sharp has 13th goal for the Stars as they lead 1-0.

He is playing well and so is Crawford as there were 23 shots in the first period, 12-11 in favour of Carolina. Nice too see Hossa back in the lineup.

Some shennanigans in the Blues Stars game. Bortuzzo jabbed at Jamie Benn which led to two scraps in row. Back to back games so not unexpected.

Flyers already a man down, then Giroux takes a brainless slash and the Ducks score late in a 5-on-3. Getzlaf with his 2nd of the season.

Iggy opens the scoring for the Avs, potting his 599th goal. Worth tuning into that game.

A turnover at the 'Cane blueline led to the transition break...

Early in the 3rd the 'Canes Rask, scored off of a won draw.

Lack is having a good game...

For the 'Hawks...only the 4th line has generated any good chances...and now Q has shuffled the forwards.

The surprise OOT game has the Hurricanes defeating the Blackhawks 2-1 in regulation. Victor Rask scored in the third period to make it 2-0 and then with three seconds left, Seabrook scores to spoil Lack's shutout bid as he faced 36 shots. Skinner assisted on both Hurricanes' goals.

Bryan Little has scored on a penalty shot in the first period and it has remained 1-0 Jets heading into third period.

Iginla's late first period goal is also holding up for the Avalanche, 1-0 after two periods.

Pacific Division OOT games.
The Ducks were down 2-1 and showed offense as they scored three consecutive goals to win 4-2. Perry with a pair of goals and Horcoff scores a shorthanded goal.

The Coyotes tied it at 1-1 early in the third period, goal by Stone. The game went into overtime and Boedker scores on a break away, Arizona wins 2-1. Lindback, the Coyotes goalie, gets an assist on the winning goal.
