Calgary may come up on midnight later than most of the world but I know that we've got CP members all over the world. Here in Shanghai we're coming up on the new year in a couple of hours, so Happy New Year CP!
I hope CP members from around the world can share a pic of where you're at to welcome in 2016!

To get this thread started out on the right foot I plan to DONATE $50 to CP in rubecube's and sylvanfan's names if I win my football pool since they would be about 95% responsible for the win.
Wishing all the best and a Happy New Year to all CP'ers! Good health, prosperity, joy.
If I had one CP-related wish, I'd wish that we don't forget that there are real people behind every avatar and, for the most part, most of them are good and decent people regardless of whether we agree or disagree on politics.
Cheers, all!
Sincerely,
CaptainYooh

Is it not a few months early for New years in Shanghai?

Well said. It is so true how much we all can forget this.

One question I have is why was there nothing broadcast on Canadian TV that had anything to do with any celebrations going on? There was nothing on Global, CTV or CBC that had a countdown or anything. At the party I was at, we were forced to watch some American broadcast with a countdown. Where was all the Canadian footage??
^^^ Yep, noticed that too, but there was a couple of celebration broadcasts from Toronto. Nothing from Calgary though. We coulgn't find a single Calgary channel showing the countdown from Olympic Plaza.

I found that odd, because it seems ET Canada still did have their usual Niagara Falls celebration but you'd think at least Global would air that. Wonder if it's costs that have to do with it?
