Default 2015-16 Seven Game Segments
Segment 1 as of today:

Canucks - L
@Canucks - W (OT)
Blues - L
@Jets (3-1)
Oilers (Mc0-3)
Capitals (1-1)
Red Wings (3-0)

Need to win 3 of the next 4 to win this segment, or tie one and win two to come out par.

Just keep it to every seven games IMO, instead of resetting after every four wins or losses in seven. My two cents.

I agree with that. I basically see it as you need to get a minimum of 8 points per segment. Although through the 11 seven game segments it would be helpful to have a few extra points to get you above the 88 points so those last 5 games aren't all must wins.

Are the Flames breaking down the season this way again? I haven't heard any of the team or they media mention it.

I remember them mentioning it on one of the sports shows that it worked for them last year so they will be doing it again.

Don't forget last season the Flames had one bad segment where they went 0-6-1. As a 14 game segment, this start is equal to that plus a 4-3 segment.

Segment 3: 4-3-0
The first segment win of the season
----------------------
Segment 4: 4-2-1
We've won two segments in a row. Bring back the snake!!!

If the Flames win every segment the rest of the season, it's hard to see them missing the playoffs.
