Why isn't Kakao an option? A few of us said we liked it.

I still like Kakao. But it doesn't appear to be working for the league as a whole.
Anyone currently use any of the other apps on iPhone? For me it would need to be iPhone compatible or my time would be severely limited on messenger

Whatsapp also works well with iPhone.
We can create a whole group with all 30 GMs. Common discussion. You can also mute Whatsapp for hours, in case you're busy and don't want to be disturbed. You can direct message for trade discussions.
Google Talk of course you can just use in your gmail browser as well. When you're on others will be notified.

Kakao (I really like it. It's on my phone, and I get notifications, so I'm always online/available for chats)

Google Talk (works well on phone too. Same notifications as Kala)

Whatsapp (never tried it before)

Will not use anything phone based, I need to take a picture of the screen then go to my photo's and enlarge the photo to read text I get.
Plus I have to do the same when browsing peoples rosters.... way too much work for what is usually someone fishing for me to make them the trade offer for the guy they want me to trade them
Saying that, I'll take whatever computer based choice is the majority as this is the only thing I would use such programs for (too much work to cut and paste my text back and forth throughout the conversation
So no vote from me because I trust whatever the majority is is our best option... I'm only one person, if it's phoned based thats very cool I can make due 100% no problem

Does skype work well for you? Not sure what you use for screen magnification

If we use Skype, I can just video chat Hanna, though he'd finally have to put some pants on.

WhatsApp is solid and easy to use. It has my vote.
I can use the other 2 but I think this one is likely the best for the league IMO.

I voted Gtalk, but I think Skype may have swayed me. I want a computer based program, rather then a mobile based one. Plus I would like random face to face video trade offers...it would be fantastic!!

Not sure I would download it for the first time and thus use it if we went that route
Here is a screen cap of how I see Calgary puck on a good day
I need to scroll to read the remainder of the text

would skype (or whatever else) work for the draft? If we could have something that worked great for that it would be a bonus
looking at the skype i see it is subscription based, is that just the call feature or is the text feature also subscription based?

I voted for Skype because I would like something that I can use both on my phone and computer. It just seems like the best of both, and didn't the old msn basically get rolled into that anyway?

the IM feature is free, you don't need to pay for anything if you don't want to.
You can use a hotmail/windows live ID if you have one
