Great write up. Love him or hate him on the ice he really comes off as a humble guy in this article. I love how he come accross as grateful that he has been able to stay in one spot rather than regretful that he didn't take the percieved "better opportunity" elsewhere.
We often forget that these guys are real people. Staying put so your family can grow up and be comfortable can really be priceless. Hats off to him for working through all of the bad years with his eyes looking forward toward a light that may have never existed.
The Player's tribune is my second favorite place to read about hockey, really cool stuff.
