Well so much for that. Garrett Sparks lets in 4 goals in the third period as the Jets beat the Leafs, 6-1.

Another good performance by Hellebuyck at the other end -- 30 saves on 31 shots.

It is 1-1 in the Bruins-Oilers game after two periods. Letestu opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal, Krug tied it.

It is scoreless after one period in the Lightning-Ducks game.

The Islanders won 2-1 in the shootout. The goals came in the second period and there were 71 shots in total. Halak and Lundqvist were excellent in net as the Islanders out shot the Rangers 37-34.

Bruins look like a pretty good team this year. Play a real good structured game. Oilers are lucky to be tied.

Every good performance by Helle is another nail in Pavelecs giant coffin.

Damn David Krejci is good. Would be amazing if Monahan develops into that player someday.

Chara tie it at 2-2 with 3:20 left in regulation time and off to overtime.

Drouin gives Tampa a 1-0 lead, Perry ties soon after. Both goals came early in the second period.

The Bruins hang on for the final 66 seconds of overtime being shorthanded, shootout now.

Tampa leads 2-1, power play goal.

We have no chance of unloading him with his contract. When Pavelec returns, he will be backup, and Hutch will be trade in a package deal. Helle is our best goalie by far, and it's about time he was anointed starter.

It was close by score not by actual play. Bruins were the way better team.

Bruins were better for the last 5 minutes of regulation... that's about it.
