Default Changes in Washington and Philly

Folks we are now back to having all of our positions filled.

Jon Duke is taking over the reigns of Philly. Jon has been a great addition to the league and it will be excited to see what he can do with the Flyers.

Hesla returns and takes over the team he screwed up...I mean...started with...the Caps.

Great to have him back.

The league and even player valuations have certainly changed over the years. This is true of the NHL and CPHL. In the past you won in the CPHL with veterans... now you need youth to stay competitive.

Thanks for taking me back.

Great to see Hesla back in the fold. He always built competitive teams but then the youth movement came and Hesla went for it all. I don't think Goffie will be to pleased with this as he seemed to be 0-3 in the playoffs against Hesla.

Other way around. I always had Hesla number. :-)

Actually I think we only played once in the playoffs TBH. I usually lost to weak teams in the playoffs and the Caps were always tough.

Great to have Hesla back in Washington though. Should make the east interesting.

It's not really your kind of deal. It's more of a shelbyville kind of deal

That's funny because after Jon put all those guys on the block I was going to send an offer tonight as well. Maybe I will send it over anyway and see if we can make a deal.

Nice to have all the positions filled though, and welcome back hesla.

I was really torn on this.
Taking on Washington popped my cherry into SIM leagues and I've had a blast. It's become a great time killer/mini obsession.

I knew I had a lot of work ahead, and instead of aiming for the cup, I aimed to get the most improved team this year, and the bonus that comes with it, hoping the extra cheese would assist next year. I was excited for the future and trying to make the team competitive, even though we couldn't seem to score more than 2 goals in most games this season. I still just enjoyed the challenge. Happy that Helsa got his team back though.

With Philly, I kinda feel like I'm being offered a silver spoon and the challenge now becomes trying to not tarnish it. My main concern against taking this on was ruining the team, but also not being able to take any credit for the teams success, cause I haven't built this thing. So I'm definitely open for business and moving players around to make this more of my own team. Stacked as she is, there's still some hate from the SIM, and I hope to find the right mix to correct the struggle.

I'm going to try my hardest to not let my homerism take over, but my 2 favorite non Flames are out there, and it will be tough to not go after them after giving the team a full look over.

Fear not though chief....Although I won the lottery, I'm not going to spend it all right away. I need to take a really good look at the team and see what can be done with it, and then am looking forward to trade talks where I actually have something to offer.
