It is back to normal scheduling for the NHL after the Thanksgiving weekend in the USA.

The Leafs lead 1-0 midway through the first period, Komarov scores on the power play. Coach Babcock looks to light some sparks, as in Garrett Sparks, the Leafs third string goaltender is in net. The Oilers have Anders Nilsson in goal.

What an awkward interview with McDavid. That interviewer is asking the weirdest questions

Ugh I never thought I'd see the day where the oilers are playing the leafs on national TV and the toronto-centric announcers are clamouring to say how amazing these young oilers are.... Even without McDavid. I love the one part where they mention that the oilers are low in the standings again but with this young team and so many amazing players they are gonna be just fine.

Yep, the announcers tell the national audience, that this Oilers team is on the right track. This same team that sits in 30th, is on the right track! Is that what you are telling us?? LMAO!!

Colorado pulls goalie with 4 mins left down by 2 and scores. Now within 1, with 3 mins left.

The Oilers-Leafs game is a train wreck with the commentary of how the Oilers are doing and their future. The post game conference will go crazy if Garrett Sparks gets the shutout for the stinkin' Leafs.

The New York area games are good ones to watch or listen to. Both New York teams are hanging on to 4-3 leads late in regulation time.

Speaking of train wrecks, the Canucks-Ducks game has the potential to be one with both teams not doing well. The Canucks radio pregame show is doing that. That makes for an interesting doubleheader Monday. I dressed up that game with the links since it is an intra-Pacific divisional game.

I haven't watched many Leafs games this season. Lots of empty seats. Are Leafs fans finally getting apathetic?

The Oilers are just so bad. Like b. a. d. Bad.

Laughable bad. Comically bad. Unbelievably bad. Inconceivable bad.

I'd call them Badmonton, but it's an insult to shuttlecocks everywhere.

And Lowe is still with the organization?

Hahahahaha hahahahahahaha.... Wow.

The Leafs score the empty net goal, 3-0 with a minute left in the game.

Sparks are going to fly for the Leafs rookie goalie as he becomes the first goaltender in franchise history to earn a shutout in his first NHL game. Garret Sparks stops all 24 shots.

No offence to Sparks but I might have been able to get a shutout against the Oilers tonight. Just an awful effort.

The Ducks lead 2-0 after twenty minutes. Horcoff scored first and then Rackell on the power play with three seconds left.

Sparks is the first goalie drafted by Brian Burke to get a win in the NHL since Manny Legace (drafted by the Whalers in 1993).

Canucks lose 4-0. Maroon took an incidental skate to the left side of his stomach near the end of the game and went right to the room, hope it's nothing serious.
