Good Lord what have I done.....
Had a brief look at the team and I know I have a few decent pieces to deal with, and alot of filler. Looks like I need to ditch a goalie and free up some cap space with $10 million on the IR.
Probably just be available through here until we figure out a new chat feature.

Welcome back and I can't believe we have a GM moving from the Flames to Edmonton willingly!

Given the real life Flames performance this year, it's not as shocking

Before everyone jumps on me for switching teams, hear me out.
I really want to be an active GM in this league, but I adopted a Flames team with dreadful value (sorry Cheese). Having maybe six assets is one thing, but being unable to find deals is another. I've contacted several other GMs in the league regarding trade proposals and understandably no one would accept my deals. Not because it wasn't a fair trade, but because of the name of the player. I can't blame anyone for not wanting aging veterans who are PTO invites to training camps year after year (Stempniak/Bernier).
Some may say that's the fun in adopting a challenge with depreciated assets, but I'm not sure even the most experienced GMs in this league could pull off deals with the Flames roster as is. Yes, the Flames were having awesome SIM success, but the fun of winning games can only go so far. There's a point where you'd like to be more engaged in the league, but just can't.
Hope everyone understands.

I believe in the Pony Power

Schum has offered to take over the Flames to give that franchise the experienced touch in needs.
So Da_Chief is the new Flames' GM.
We should be able to easily fill the Flyers position given how loaded they are with assets.
Thanks Joe.

Good luck with the Flames, Chief. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way either. It's going to be a challenge.

Pretty selfless move by Chief that greatly increases the possibility of attracting a new GM. Can't say I would do it myself, so I think it's super commendable.
Hope someone fills that void quickly!!
Maybe trade Benn to NYR for Drew Shore so the Big Apple gets a little more tempting to take over too
Welcome to CMPunk, from Washington
