What is your favourite app for streaming music?
Just curious what apps people use to stream music. I like the apps that have the pre made play lists where you just tell them what type of music you are looking for. However I hate the apps that don't let you see the play list or change song as much as you want. I don't mind paying a monthly fee for this service, but I am not sure which is the most popular or handy.
Anyone have any recommendations?

rdio.com is where it's at. Sync music to your phone for offline play as well.

+1 for Rdio. Really like the social aspect of it. Don't know if other services show what your friends are listening to, but it's a great way to discover new music.

I'm currently using a combination of the following;
-Rdio ($10/month)
-Google Play Music ($8/month)
-Grooveshark ($30/year)
-Songza (free)
I definitely use Rdio the most. I'm grandfathered into Grooveshark's pricing, so I don't think I'll ever cancel that one. Google Play I use the least, but they have a couple albums on it that Rdio doesn't, so I'll probably try it out for a couple more months.

I cannot seem to bring myself around to paying for music apps but if I did I think it would be Google music. I use it now with my own music that I finally finished uploading and have no issues with the phone app or on the PC. I stream it to a Chromecast at home as well and it works really well. I also use Pandora quite a bit at work, works well enough and you can really get a broad range of music going in the mixes.

If I'm bored enough to stream and on WiFi, TIR as mentioned already.

I use Pandora, but I don't know any better. Will check out these other services for sure.

I use grooveshark at work, but have never paid. It works great. What are you paying for that I'm not getting?

Rdio all the way for me. Can a Google Music evangelist argue its merits for me? I know nothing about it.

I use Google music but can't believe how much data I use when I listen to it in my car.

From what I can tell the two aren't overly different. There's a huge library, unlimited streaming, no skipping restrictions, "pinning" your music to your devices for offline use, and the ability to share (through Google+ though, which isn't the best). I like having everything under my Google Play/Store account and being able to Chromecast the music to my stereo at home. If I decide to cancel the monthly service, I can still go into my library and purchase the songs I want to keep into the future. The library is also quite large. Either way, I don't think it's different enough to switch if you're happy.

Access to their mobile app, no ads, dekstop application, Last FM scrobbling, and a couple features I've never used.

I like Spotify too. You can get it, just change your apple account to US, download, and then switch back. It doesn't check your location after that.
I used to use Songza, but I find the playlists aren't as good as Spotify. I had Google Music, but found a lack of songs that I like, and I couldn't ever figure out how to play an album in sequence, it would always shuffle. So I cancelled.
I did like the idea that you could upload your music to it however.
