Not happy with this. The guy has made a career of choking. Couldn't close the cup finals against Edmonton, couldn't survive the Leafs front office. Not going to help us at all.

I don't mind stocking up on options where we are weakest (SOMEONE has to come through... right?)
Considering he hasn't really performed stellar anywhere he's played:

I think we actually did manage to pick up a goalie worse than the ones we have. Poulin is terrible, we should've just signed Irving.

Clearly an AHL move for now, with hopes for the future.
Hopefully this only means that the Flames have lost confidence in Simpson, and not that Gillies is going to be hurt longer than expected.
