Exclamation [Video] Josh Jooris 14/15 Highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCuFDeeygTU

I was waiting for a better stretch of Flames hockey this season before finishing and releasing another video...

Jooris is another rookie that had enough footage to warrant his own video. Great season for a player Bob Hartley admitted he was going to give Jooris 1 pre-season game only. Seems like he over-achieved offensively last year, however I think he's settled into a very effective 4th line energy role now.

My planned order for the next videos:
Colborne and Russell. So close to being done!

Videos done since the end of last season:
- Comeback Wins
- Backlund
- Bennett
- Bouma
- Brodie
- Ferland vs Vancouver
- Gaudreau Part 1
- Gaudreau Part 2
- Giordano
- Hudler
- Monahan
- Rookies
- 2004 Moments

Jooris was such a fun player to watch last season. Some of his early performances were superb. That first goal he scored in Montreal was my personal favourite. He made Price and Subban look like right chumps.

But I'd like to raise this point: why doesn't he see more PP time? He managed 4 goals(5 points in total) in just 40 minutes of PP last season. He was our 5th highest PP goal scorer. Compare that to Backlund(1 point in 87 minutes) and Colborne(5 points in 92 minutes) and it seems a bit criminal that he was so under used on the PP last season, especially given the struggles of the 2nd PP unit all season.

Its the same this season. Of the forwards you would put on the 2nd unit, Colborne, Backlund, Raymond, Jones, Ferland and Frolik have put up 2 points for 60 minutes(ish) of PP time. Jooris on the other hand has a measly 55 seconds. Is it not time we gave him a shot on the 2nd unit? Can't be any worse than the guys that usually get put on that line.

Good question. Some kind of icetime management thing could play a part? Or saving him up for other kinds of situations like PK.

Of all the forwards this year, Backlund has the highest GF/60 on the PP (Team goals). Colborne has been in the ice for zero GF and one GA on the powerplay in 17 minutes of PP time. That's kinda poor.

AC have you ever been able to send any of these to the players themselves? I think it would be pretty cool to have a montage of your best moments in video format.

No, but Ference and Oliwa both contacted me after 2004 to ask about getting DVD copies of my playoff tribute videos. Too bad I didn't have them in any better quality than what was available online.
