Kris Russell a +2 tonight. It's amazing how much of a difference TJ Brodie makes for the team.

I agree that Brodie deserved the 1st star even in the face of a hat-trick from Frolik

He was amazing tonight, and seems to have taken his game to yet another level this year.

Awesome to win a game when Gaudreau wasn't at his best.

Speaking of Gaudreau... and in light of the fact that we were playing the Oilers tonight... pretty amazing that the Flames' two best players are both 4th round picks

Out of all the goals scored on Ramo, I felt that he shoulda had the first one. When you are having trouble finding the puck, make yourself nice and big, tuck the arms in and hope to hell it hits you. Unfortunately this one went through that little space he left open.
Im still waiting for one of the Flames goalies to make that save that becomes a game changer and to date, we havent seen that. Sadly, the defence has not played well and thats not helping the matter either.
Having said that, he won tonight and I think that gets him into the next game. Ramo has something to prove with the waiver bit.

I think Brodie has joined (already did I guess) Gaudreau as the two players on the team that can legitimately set the pace of the play when they're on the ice. Others can do great things, but not literally control what every other guy on the ice has to do.

After how well Brodie played when Giordano went out last year, I had the feeling he was actually the better of the two. Seeing how the season started without him, and how different the team plays when he is on the ice, and now that he is getting closer to being 100% back, I am convinced he is the best player we have.

Gaudreau is awesome, but that end to end shorthanded play by Brodie in the first was just the definition of all-star player; force a turnover, make a scoring attempt and still be the first one back.

Hudler still looks kinda lackadaisical. Does he not want to get paid??

I can never take that word seriously. Is he missing his flowers?
