Where did the Flames go?
What's wrong with our Flames and when will they start playing good hockey again?

Never. Fold the franchise. Pretend they never existed.
Come on. Is this a real question? At least have something to say.

Everything's wrong, only bright spot this season is Gaudreau.

Imo it's a tough argument to fault the disappointment (/disgust/disdain/borderline contempt) felt by a lot of fans towards either the team, or certain players.
Especially after last season.
What the...

If I were a rival troll, I'd start a thread like this after a game like that just for Schadenfreude.
Might be a bit suspicious if it was only on my second post ever.....
ya know, not saying, just saying

They're
1) Slow, because they traded away their fastest player, Paul Byron.
2) Mentally fragile, because everything cascaded into a nightmare season where every game = 4 goals against minimum
3) Broken. Just Broken.

You're like, two games behind with that assessment.

I agree with points 2 and 3 but all of a sudden they are slow because they traded Byron?

They're slow because Byron represented more than just footspeed, he represented compete level and motor combined with footspeed. He was the kind of player who inspired guys around him to burst towards loose pucks.
This team right now is slow in tight spaces. They lose every race and there's no one to guide them out of that hole.

Are you being serious right now?

I'm not saying it's pure cause and effect. But this team is definitely slow and one thing you could never fault Paul Byron for, ever, is being slow.

This team has always had fast guys who would hustle and couldn't finish and losing one has never made them worse. The habs picked up Byron because of timing. They had just lost a 4th line guy and one became available. Byron looks good because of who he's playing with and they style the team is playing. If you honestly believe he would turn things around for this team you might as well blame the music in the locker room and advocate for dion to come back so he can change the music. If Byron had that much influence on the team, he would have been a leader and if his leaving hurts the team that much, Gio has to take a lot of blame for not inspiring the team as captain. Having Byron on this team would only mean people around here would be looking for different excuses.
Maybe we should nickname him the 4th line franchise player because having him would turn the season around and right the ship. Maybe we trade a second rounder to get him back and save the season lol.
