Who is Marcus Ohlund?????

Don Cherry called a canuck defencman "Marcus Ohlund" in his videos. Was he refering to Mathias?

He also called Patrick Roy as in "R-o-y" = toy

and

Martin Rucinsky as "Ru-*****-sky"

and

Tom Poti as "Potty"


Is Cherry being silly or is he that bad with pronouncing there names? :unsure:

Don Cherry always screws up players correct pronounciations of their names. If you watch Coach's Corner enough, you will see Ron Maclean correct Grapes a couple dozen times throughout the season.

You would expect Cherry to learn all the names come playoff time, but Grapes continues to make them. I use to like watching his CC segments, but now with his constant boner for anything Leafs related, I just watch the satellite hotstove intermission show

It might be out of his hate for anything European, but he normally pronounces all they're names wrong, semi on purpose. Talk about ignorant though, guess were you came from dumbass! does he ever think?

You know what man, I've been here long enough to be able spot out the posters that come here with nothing to contribute. It's becomming increasingly difficult to sift through the garbage to find the real interesting and informative threads that still exist at this site. It's frustrating when there's 10 or more threads a day that no one gives a fata about. If you're going to start a new thread why don't you put some thought into it instead of starting a thread for the sake of starting a thead. I have nothing against new posters and I don't think it's too much to ask that there at least be some content of use in everyone's posts? Maybe I'm a dreamer?
