Default Flames hosed. NYI win 4-0

This is a systems issue.

Our breakout strategy is awful.

Defensive zone coverage is awful.

Offensive zone strategy is...non-existent because we never have possession long enough to do anything.

I don't know what "it" is, but this team definitely does not have it.

What a mess of a season. So many players in our forward line-up that are purely meh or below that. Can't contribute to offense all that well, can't defend all that well. Gaudreau is the only dangerous player in the offensive zone. Effort is nice, but it can only get so far. We need guys who can put the puck in the net.

Goaltending and D need to be better as well.
God.

Trade Hamilton. He literally is the worst player on the ice almost every night. Bollig gave him a run for his money tonight though.

This is ridiculous. Yes he's been bad (terrible, actually), but trade him? Really? He's 22. He'll get better.

I honestly can't think of a flame I've hated more than I hate Dougie right now. He is beyond terrible. I get that he's 22, I get that it's only been x amount of games. I've never seen such incompetent play before... how did this guy make it through jr? Bring butler back please

Give him a seat in the pressbox, nakladal in.

This sadness must be what Oiler fans feel 24/7 over the last 10 years.

Both.

I'm gonna need to ask my Oiler fan friends how to cope with cheering for a mediocre team.

It's so Calgary Flames for them to overachieve in a season they were supposed to be in contention for one of two elite talents only a year later revert back into the team they were supposed to be the year before. That's the most frustrating thing about this. This team looked defeated in the first period and like I said in the intermission it was a matter of that first Islanders goal going in before things snowballed.
