CP Top 50 NHL Players - Rd 7

To this point, the list has been compiled based on the last 50 players to win or be nominated for major awards. These include.

Art Ross
Norris
Vezina
Calder
Selke
Rocket Richard
Ted Lindsey
Jennings
Conn Smythe

It's arbitrary and it leaves out notables like Tyler Seguin, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Nik Backstrom. Now after six rounds, it's apparent that the lack of these options is bothering people and a write system isn't the best idea.

Since there really isn't a credible argument to be made that Adam Henrique, Jonathan Huberdeau, Brendan Gallagher, Justin Williams, Jeff Skinner or Antti Niemi are top 50 players, I'm going to replace them with the Seguin, Tarasenko, Backstrom, Parise, Hossa and Roman Josi.

I'm actually going with Getz. He's dominant in that he can go around you with his skill or through you with his size. He's a good leader and always produces points and if you try to take liberties with anyone while he's on the ice there'll be hell toupee...

Weber for me, with Doughty close behind. If the criteria is only looking at the present and not thinking about the future, Datsyuk is my next best forward (he was 6th last year in PPG and such a complete player compared to most others around him)

I chose Weber, with Getzlaf as the HM.

Lots of guys in a tight race at this level, including Keith and Doughty on defence, Lundquist in net, and Kopitar, Malkin, and Datsyuk up front.
