Halak and Pavalec are very similar and I have high hopes for Halak this upcoming season. The second round pick is a good add and Bartosak is a solid goalie prospect who I hope will get his chance in the NHL fairly soon. Also, the cheese will help us make more trades.

I was disappointed in the play of Halak towards the end of last season, and he is hurt at the beginning of this one. With no other goalie ready to step into a job imminently in the org, I decided to upgrade him to Pavalec. At least Pavalec looked pretty good on Saturday and will have a good team in front of him this year.

Losing Bartosak and the pick are not a big deal, already have a player in mind to replace Bart.
