Default Dictation App

So I find myself doing quite a bit of reports and proposals for work. I would get these done much quicker if I could find a good app that would turn my spoken words into a text format, instead of me having to type everything out.

I downloaded one on my phone but it didn't seem to work very well. It seemed to only remember a few short sentences and if I went beyond that, it would erase what I had said first.

Anyone know of any good ones?

Have you tried Dragon Dictation? It comes preinstalled on our phones at work and seems to get pretty decent ratings.

I have not tried it but will give it a go. Do you have any personal experience with it?

Unfortunately, no. I've had problems with dictation because I'm a low talker and I mumble. I also change my mind partway through sentences and thoughts which makes dictation a particular challenge.

Do people still dictate in this day and age? I type faster than I talk when speaking clearly...

My wife uses Dragan for work all the time, and says it is fantastic. Saves her a lot of time writing reports.

I use Dragon Naturally speaking to write up a lot of the articles for Fireside Chat. Makes things go by a lot faster.

Could not recommend it more.
