Inmates hold hunger strike at Remand centre
On one hand there are some true scumbags in the remand but there are also innocent people in the Remand who haven't been convicted of anything.
I've heard for years the conditions were horrible and it kind of is a black eye to Calgary allowing this to happen.

Yeah, I've heard some horrid stories out of that place, I think al lot of Calgarians would be blown away by it. And it's definitely not all hardened criminals. Good for them to stand up to it, hopefully it goes somewhere.

Hahaha, yeah I kind of laughed at that too. We won't eat until things change, or we get really hungry, but then we won't eat again after!
